Instructions & FAQs

How do I test my keyboard?

Focus the testing area and press each physical key. Cyan means held; green means tested. Choose a layout to change the labels. Counts exclude auto-repeat. Some keys and shortcuts are intercepted by your operating system.

Can this diagnose keyboard ghosting?

Hold several keys together and compare the detected keys with the ones you pressed. Peak simultaneous shows the largest combination observed. This browser test cannot conclusively diagnose hardware ghosting or rollover limits.

How do I test double-clicks?

Double-click inside the mouse area. The count follows native browser detection. Last interval measures the time between presses of the same mouse button, not hardware latency.

Can I measure gaming mouse polling rate?

No. Browser events can be batched or throttled. Extra buttons can trigger navigation or may not be exposed. DPI, firmware and true hardware polling rate require vendor software or dedicated equipment.

Is my input private?

Only current key states, tested-key identifiers and counters are kept in browser memory. The tester does not record text sequences, transmit events or use persistent storage. Refresh clears the test.
